A light diet is based on choosing 50-55% of your food from the carbohydrate range, for example, bread, pasta, rice or oatmeal. Thirty per cent vegetables and 15-20 per cent protein.

To protect the stomach, choosing soft and finely cut foods is important. So instead of choosing crusty bread, it is better to choose bread with soft dough made of fine flour. Steamed vegetables or soups are preferable to raw vegetables.
